The 2015-2016 season of World Kabaddi League (2nd Season) will be held in February 2016. With a view to cutting down the costs, the organizers have scaled it down in terms of duration and venues. Unlike the first season which ran over the period of three and a half months. The second season will only be for 45 days in total and it will only be played in Punjab. Unlike last season all the matches will be played in different cities across Punjab.
According to the organizers they splurged a lot of money on venues and different cities. The league paid around Rs. 11 crore to a private entertainment channel as production chargers.

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate you for the commendable job you are doing to enhance the growth of Kabaddi grobaly.
In Kenya we’ve had 5 major local tournament and the 5th scheduled this month on 22rd – 23rd August 2015 has attracted a team from India. This is a golden opportunity for us, for the local teams will gain an international expossure in our soil and training together thereafter. Kenya has over 580 kabaddi players in over 10 Counties. This tournament will also a trial for the National team that will take part in the 6th World Cup Kabaddi Champion. The sports is spreading like bush fire here and attracting many.
On behalf of the kenya kabaddi sports federation, would like to request your organization to consider players from Africa in the World Kabaddi League. I am sure our players has the potential.
